Hi,

I’ve recently, actually about an hour ago bought two products from Stardock. Cursor FX and Object Desktop Ultimate, something or other. Though there is no confirmation e-mail from stardock explaining how to get hold of the products, I’ve installed Impulse but that’s just showing old orders I’ve got from years back.

Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

Turn off firewalls and antiviral software. Download Impulse. Install it. Put in the email you ordered the software from. Close it and reopen. If the transaction went through Impulse should update with your registrations. If all's well the software should appear under the tab marked desktop. If not, don't despair. Wait for the confirmation email and turn your protection on again.

When downloading with Impulse, make sure the protection is off. When done, turn it back on again.

Look at Island Dog's tutorials/walk throughs of Impulse (they are under his articles on his personal page). Watch them so you can navigate around Impulse with some confidence.

I'll check back to see how you're doing.

Welcome...and enjoy the software!

Thanks for the reply, nothing has updated with Impulse, and I've recevied no e-mail. Do I have to download the products via Impulse or can I get it elsewhere? Thanks

My best advice is to wait for the email confirmation...it'll come to the email you used to order the software. If you have any "try out" software of Object Desktop programs, uninstall them using a program like CCleaner or Revo uninstaller...they're free on the net.

btw, Stardock Sales is closed over the weekend....so your confirmation will probably come Monday A.M.

I see, didn’t know it was done manually. I’ll wait until Monday then. Thanks for your help too.

You should have received an email sent to the email address you used when purchasing the software.  Be sure to check your spam folder in case it went there. If you haven't done so already, please email support@stardock.com and start a trouble ticket.

Perhaps you used a different e-mail than your original Stardock.net account?

I've e-mailed sales, still havn't received any conifrmation e-mal from Stardock wit any keys. I got the PayPal e-mail straight away.

When you email Stardock support, squidie....attach the receipts from PayPal. Good luck mate....sorry you're having a problem. The Impulse stuff and links above advice will help, though when you get straightened out with Stardock.

Have you checked your spam folder?

Ah-ha! You said the 'P' word! PayPal likely has a very different addy than your SD account. What was your Support ticket ID# ?

Never mind about the Ticket number, I've answered your e-mail.

Hoops? Well, that's just the way different av's and firewalls work....how can SD perfect this with the large number of different software programs out there?

Maybe if folks notify their av/firewall software companies that these are false positives with Impulse? I don't know that there could be a solution other than this.
